What is this?

Another Challenge: About to purchase a goldie with fresh rebuilt head, 11 chisels, joiner, and other fixings from a guy whose father passed on.

Being new to ShopSmiths, wondering if anyone might help me in identifying some pieces he laid out for me to confirm. He doesn't know too much about them.

Rather than posting 20 links that redirect to flickr, could someone tell me a quick means of pasting 22 pics? Thanks

You starting a museum:D or what?

If you copy those pix to your computer, edit them to max 800x600, then you can upload them to the forum 5 pix/post. click on the 'paperclip' to upload. After uploading them you can 'insert' them into the post by again clicking on the paper clip.

BTW What's yer 20???

Certainly didn't plan on having three. Will probably sell one or save one just for tinkering down the road.

WHICH pieces in the pic's ya need identifing? Or ALL of em? The first pic of a motor doesn't belong with the SS.

Motor hadn't been installed since the son had ShopSmith rebuilt in the early 90's.

Not necessarily needing all of them identified. The goals I'm hoping to accomplish are to identify pieces or accessories of items that might be incomplete and get a sense for the overall condition and completeness of set.

Also, maybe find something out that I don't know that maybe I should know such as the smaller items that usually come with them.

The guy I'm buying from said that other items might be laying around, but he wouldn't be able to identify or confirm it belongs. If a piece of an accessory is present but not complete necessarily, I'll be able to send him pics of what's missing.

I do not see the safety items, the drill chuck and key, the plastic coupler (drive hubs are on the headstock), the lathe drive and dead centers but they might be in the bucket. Otherwise looks more than complete. Nice haul.

The 'safety items' are not of this vintage. I do not recognize the black thing that looks like it is mounted on a short piece of pipe and a flance(on the far left). You have a mortise hold down, but I do not see the mortise bit holder.

Yes the contents of the bucket are important. What is in there? Hopefully a drill check and key as well as a lathe drive center and tailstock center.

P.S. The motor looks kosher to me! Unique color and tag. Mount looks correct and staft maybe correct(need better pix of shaft end). I looks like it has the sheave on the shaft.)??)
