You know, I'll watch it just because it's a woodworking show and they are rare beasts around these parts, but the kid does get on my nerves just a little. Just a little too hyper and over-eager. Maybe it's an east coast thing and I live too far south to tolerate it.

I don't remember it being there in 1974-75 when I had classes in the woodshop. Then again I was looking at the "big" equipment and might have missed it.

I just gotta be honest here. Could I spend an entire day with Tommy Mac.

It just may depend on what they planned to serve for lunch and dinner.:)

I'd rather spend the time with Tommy Mac. Because he will use hand tools. When was the last time ya saw Norm pick up a #5 or #6 hand plane?
SS 500(09/1980), DC3300, jointer, bandsaw, belt sander, Strip Sander, drum sanders, molder, dado, biscuit joiner, universal lathe tool rest, Oneway talon chuck, router bits & chucks and a De Walt 735 planer,a #5,#6, block planes. ALL in a 100 square foot shop.

[quote="JPG40504"]Who's Tommy Mac? What's a PBS?]You gotta be kidding. Bob Vila (if that is who you were referring to) does not even belong in a discussion about wood working. The best I can say about Bob is that he sells good wooden for floors.

There are those of us in the Northeast who think the same way!
