At the end of today I stacked the piles up and took another picture.

I put them together (in my head) and then I knew I had no idea what I had made! It has been a week. I give up.

He is such a tease. I went one step further and did some sketchups of the pieces and put them together. This accomplished nothing for me except that I think I know how the pieces go together. Still don't have a clue as to what we just built.

Hi,
Sorry I haven't gotten back to this thread or the project in the last while. Way too many things to do and more pending, not to mention the list that already existed from last year...
One step that I did take photos of was using the conical sanding disk to clean up the edges. I'm guessing that was not much of a loss to anyone. If you have to see it let me know and I'll try and catch it on another project.
Most of you have been very good at your guessing.
The "official" title is Multipurpose Chair. I still have the original one I built in I would guess 1978 or 1979, pictures from the past show it was in the house where we were living in at that time.
They work as a preschool's chair, table, step-up stool, doll/stuffed animal chair/bed book stand and a small highway for matchbox cars. The wife still uses ours as a step-up.
In case you wanted to make sure how the parts fit together take a look here.

I hope to get some more time on the project this week, sanding, dry fit and who knows maybe some glue will get involved. BTW no nails or screws are going to be used.

Wow has it been this long since I started this project? Must have been as the forum doesn't lie.
This is now an active project again after I found the cut up parts sitting below a pile of stuff the other day. I had for gotten about them and that was not my intent.
So glue up has started. Here are some pictures showing things going together.
