Thanks to everyone for their answers. This forum is great! But I can't find that plan on the Rockler site.

It's likely that there aren't any plans for making the pen "vise," so you'll probably have to design something similar.

That shouldn't be too hard, just attach a wooden fence to the Shopsmith rip fence that has a vertical "v" notch cut into it at the center under the quill. You could simply clamp this to the fence after aligning it with the quill, or attach it with some bolts or T-bolts depending on the model rip fence you have. If you use bolts through the rip fence, make the holes in the wooden fence a bit over sized so that you can align the "v" notch perfectly under the quill.

And, add a jaw to the front that also has a vertical "v" notch cut into it. Use a couple of carriage bolts and wing nuts to secure it to the wooden fence and hold the pen blank in place.

You'll also need to be able to slide some scrap wood below where the drill bit will clear the bottom of the pen blank so that you don't blow out the bottom of the blank when the drill bit breaks through and you don't drill into the Shopsmith table.

rmojo, it seems that the plan from Rockler was for use with their fence any way. So, unless you had their fence you would have to change the demensions to fit your fence. Why not just take a few measurements, using your fence, and draw your own plan? It looks like a fairly simple build and you have the pictures for reference. This looks like a good use for Sketchup to draw your plan.
