pen question

That is kind of what I am hoping for. Relaxing. I love doing the woodworking. Just trying to figure out the best way to work it out. And making pens is something I know would be appreciated.

And from what I have heard, on the lathe, this is one of the easier projects to start with. I figured starting with the pens and bottle stoppers would be a good starting place.

I have not yet met one person that did not get addicted to making pens.

I waiting on an order of supplies.

I have the spindle adapter from PSI and use it for my Barracuda 2 chuck and my Collet chuck. Both also from PSI I have no complaints with either of these.

It's not too early for new years resolutions. In 2013 I will...

1) Make pens
2) Make picture frames

That's probably enough for now.

I've seen those vises at woodcraft too. Do you need one to make pens or can you do it without? Curious if I am going to have to get that as well before i can start, or if I can start without one and get one later on.

Hm. The wife already says my hobbies are expensive. lol, woodworking, expensive. come on. Now, i only need a few more tools to get my fix for a little bit.

I have both the pen vise and the barrel trimer, and yes both from Pennstate. No you don't have to have them but they sure serve a good purpose. Whenever I decide to make a few pens I always get these tools out and get started.
