Please do not design any bridges!!!:D
1945 ish +70 ish =2015 ish.:D

Besides, I had had an adult beverage or 2(0):o

He probably got someone else's re-design on Ebay, for
the feed levers. They're all over the place, and MUCH more
than getting studs and knobs from McMaster-Carr.

Feed Knobs

I had him make them a bit longer than the standard feed knobs since it will be a dedicated drill press. He charged $22.50 with shipping for the 3 knobs - he did not charge any extra to make them a bit longer. He was making them just a few minutes after I ordered them and shipped them the very next day. Should be here on Wednesday.

I will let you know what they look like when I get them.

I've got 3 of these era machines and have restored 2 of them. The best piece of advice I can offer is to join the 10E/ER Users Group mover on Yahoo. They're a great bunch over there who are a wealth of information and other resources related to these machines. They are athttp://groups.yahoo.com/group/Shopsmith10ERusers/
