Yes, you can see it in his eyes, new discovery and all, but have you thought how this fits with the educational philosophy in the last twenty years that "everyone is a winner", "everyone gets a star", "no, we don't keep score so their are winners and losers", "everything must be equal and just" - yeah in whose eyes? He even said it makes him feel soooo much better.

They always say in good humor there is a measure of the truth or what is going on in society.

I have to admit, I didn't catch the humor until after he hit the joint with the claw hammer and I was thinking, OK, here we go another "expert" from the interwebs.

The sledge hammer was the give away though. A nice little parody to be sure.

The Lessons learned from my shop class teacher in Junior high school kicked in the instant he dropped the plane. I immediately said this guy is an idiot and I almost stopped watching.

PS I have seen a few magic square, mostly no name cheaply done made in china products. One one I saw in a store the riveting the joint was so bad the tongue had over a 1/4 inch of movement.
