I've currently got 2 of them. (Had 3, but the fire...) all of them have square drive, and, if assembled correctly, the scale should be the same on both sides.
Yes, the blade is a Disston design. (Or, at least made by Disston to Magna specs.)

I concede mine is square drive too clearly marked diston .thats why i ask you guys. I have much to learn.Now that I understand it it works surprisingly well.
