Thanks guys.
I'm in SE WI.
Was told there is a store in the Milwaukee area that has seminars, but couldn't find anything searching SS site or google.

Welcome to the forum. I hope you find this forum as informative and as entertaining as I do. The forum has a personality and that personality changes on an irregular basis. It changes but it is always helpful. Sometimes you have to differentiate between opinion and fact but that is life.
Paste wax. I use only Johnson's Paste Wax but the important thing is to keep it waxed and oiled. I don't add wax very often. I just dust it off with a clean shop rag and while doing that put a bit of pressure on the rag to polish the table tops, jointer bed and fence and surface planer bed if you have them.
I oil much more frequently than is recommended and I do not believe you can do that too often (well, not every day or even every week).
If there is a local store that does seminars (using a Shopsmith) you are fortunate. There aren't many of those in existence anymore. The seminars being referenced may be the
Shopsmith demonstrations that come around periodically but they are really demonstrations put on to sell you new equipment. They are not seminars.

If a member from Germantown should see this, perhaps he will offer to help you!;) He has not been on this week though! I think he left town briefly.
