Yes, we like it here. We chose Tucson for retirement when I left the AF having been stationed twice at Davis-Monthan AFB.

Yup -- we were there in March for the birth of my granddaughter. We took our time and stayed with relatives and friends in Texas on our way out. Then after my granddaughter's birth we went to Phoenix, Sedona, the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas. We were in Phoenix for its first 100 degree day. Then back to Sierra Vista. All in all, we left in March and got back home in June. Put over 9,000 miles on the car that trip.

Hope you got the answers needed to resolve your rip fence issue. These off-topic discussions can be frustrating...to everyone on the forum. Some will speak up and others just get irritated.

Does it really matter "who started it". Off-topic is off-topic BUT seems to be a prominent characteristic of this forum. I have come to accept it and to willingly participate.
I do (NOW) resist going political or religious and believe you me it can be difficult to hold my tongue at times.

Indeed it does not matter 'who', until 'who' starts throwing verbal stones at those others also choosing to 'participate'.
I understand your displeasure with off topic discussions and encourage/applaud your overcoming it, but one should not have it both ways.

GeorgeM: Going off-topic on this forum is not a sin or even a "bad thing". Read the forum and you will find that this discussion comes up regularly. I was, at one time, an advocate for "nothing but wood working" on a wood working forum. I long ago gave up that attitude. Off-topic is a prominent theme on this forum and I am convinced always will be.
No apology necessary except maybe by me.
