That's what I heard and why I posed my response as a question. I have never seen a straight set. With straight legs how does one perform left/right adjustments to align the drive hubs? Strikes me as being difficult to say the least.

That was to accommodate idler shaft eccentric locations.
For the spts that connect to the upper shaft, . . . . It was assumed they would align.

The early tubes do not have the off set. The first picture is a complete adapter set for mounting MK V SPTs on the 10ER. It came with straight tubes. The jig saw with the Magna logo has straight tubes. At some point Magna transitioned to the eccentric tubes as the SS logo jig saw shows.wa2crk wrote:JPG
