Got those all seated and then I ran into the top rails not lowering down all the way to the lock. Guess I'll work on this some more tomorrow when I get a chance.

Thanks! I'll reattack tomorrow because the top tube isn't coming down now. I know the previous owner bought new rails a few years ago as the old one's were rusted out.

And...after reading a bit of that thread I may have over tightened the bolts too. I'll loosen them up a bit tomorrow.

Next to make sure the way tubes are seated fully into both the pivot end and the tie bar. They should bottom out on both.

Not sure if I should transition over to the repair side of the house. I have the way tubes at least able to lock in and the end cap fully seated on the end away from the hinge. I can't check the end on the hinge as I don't have a hex long enough at the moment. However, it shouldn't matter when it comes to the below photo and making that table level. When I lower it down it sits level with the casting so I don't think it's the support tubes. It seems to me the legs are at a slight angle outwards. It seems like it was meant to be that way. I guess I could add a washer or two to the right side of the table to shim it out. It doesn't seem to be unsafe at all. Everything is tight and fully seated.

That picture simply does not look right.

Did you get the way tubes 'seated' by repositioning the bench tubes in the end casting? I think you are back where you started.

As for the long allen wrench, you should have the one used for attaching arbors etc..

The bench tubes MUST rest on the raised lip.

I am beginning to get suspicious the bench/way tubes may be reversed.

So when I checked the bench tubes not one of them was seated fully against the lip like in the link earlier. I fully seated all 4 and checked the end cap (end away from the hinge) on the way tube and it is fully seated. I can close and lock the way tube now however but the table still leans.

I added to my previous post - the bench tubes MUST rest ON the raised lip.

The legs almost look like they are not splayed enough. The measurement between the inside bolt holes in both legs should be 54 inches. I measured mine on the back side since I have the SS accessory shelf installed on the front. I assume that this is the correct measurement since the shelf limits the amount of deviation possible. Is it possible that the previous owner either reversed the way and bench tubes or replaced the bench tubes with way tubes?
