Just getting back to this situation. After purchasing my second SS, found that this chuck fits the second machine nicely and works perfectly. Used it the other day to drill out holes for axles and windows in toy cars. Took the chuck to the first machine with the same results as before, goes on part way and stops. So will examine the drive shaft on teh quill to see if it has burrs or some bugger on it. Thanks for all the input and help. Have been looking for this thread for some time and could not remember it. Should have used the search key as that is how I found it tonight. Slow, but getting there. Thanks again for all the information. Will be working on it tomorrow, I think since I also think the grandson is not coming and the yard is mowed for the first time this year. Got to buy some more Clariton D so I can see what is going on with my tools.
