I had the same problem with some of my tools
So when my work place held an auction of surplus office supply's I purchased about 5 tall filing cabinets for about $5 a piece
These work great for tool storage
See a lot of them cheap at yard sales too

I have a sure fire way of finding small items, I order another one from ebay and the original turns up withing 24 hours of the replacement being delivered.

Works every time. :D

I'm glad that works for you. I'm with you on the ordering/buying the new part but the originals don't turn up with in 24 hours but I do misplace the new ones within that amount of time...

The other problem I have is rearranging things in the shop. I move stuff cause I can't find it were it is, then, after it is moved I only remember where it was before I moved it, what's up with that???

I had the same experience finding the benchtop but alas it was short lived, it is being buried again, just can't seem to keep stuff off it>:(
