Since you mention resawing, I have never used my band saw since I bought it used probably 10 years ago. So I bought Jacob Andersons DVD on how to clean it and tune it up, replace the tires, etc. Then I want to buy a resaw blade. They are taking down a 130 year old grain elevator in Superior, WI and selling the old growth white pine it's made of and from what I understand it's amazing stuff. Grade 3 pallet material will be grade three pallet material.
Sure there is some good spots but they are few and far between that is why it is called grade 3 pallet material.
