Never tried that. I'd be concerned that it would leave some stickiness behind on the fence which I would forget to clean off until I was in the middle of doing something that was getting stuck on the remnants of the adhesive. I take it you haven't had that issue?

Hi Gang;
I use a system similar to Dusty's for making tenons. I also used the jig for 22.5 degree cuts on flag cases. It can also be used for holding work for raised panel doors.

A simple approach is to not use the fence, but clamp a board to the table at the required angle and use it to guide the workpiece.

Algale- No, I've never noticed any stickiness at all left behind on either the fence or the wood. But I've only left the tape on for a few hours at most. I use the tape that Shopsmith sells, it it matters. I also use the tape for stopblocks where there's not room enough to use a clamp.

To remove the glue (stickiness), have some alcohol swabs handy. A box of 100 is very reasonable and it may take a couple to clean the fence. Even some denatured alcohol will do well.
