So that's why it looks odd, it's not a Shopsmith.

Here is what the seller has to say about it.

On 05-Oct-11 at 18:37:20 BST, seller added the following information:

Hi i have been informed this lathe was manufactured by Multicowhich took over from Shopsmith

On 05-Oct-11 at 18:45:56 BST, seller added the following information:

Now i am confused seems as if multico machine just look the same as a Shopsmith even if my one has a shopsmith label on the speed controler sorry for any confusion
