Thank you all for your input, I do think my tools need an edge. I believe the cedar was soft enough to mask the dullness.
Visited the woodcraft store, looked at sharening options. Going to use the jig system for a grinder with the gouge attachment as well. Looking for the "pony" now.
What woods turn the best?
