Capertrj, I am sure at this point you are overwhelmed with opinions, the greenie for 100 is a bargain, the other one I read the post, you can trust, JPG, John B and most of the others here, we are all here for your best interest. If it is complete as he sez 350 is not a bad price, remember on CL unless they same price is firm, all is negotiable, I take about 10% off of asking price, depending on how often the similar item shows up on CL.

He is mistaken. He may not have those items, but they are stock items with a base model Mark V.

Edit: The legs come with the 510 package.

Most of these are the packages/bundles. Would this give me the 5 tools plus the included jointer to make 6. Is there anything for horizontal boring?

Tool rest
Upper/lower saw guards
(And if wanting to have full 510 capabilities: 2 floating tables, 2 extension legs, and 4 connecting tubes).

Overwhelmed. Very much haha. I've pretty much decided I want a SS for my space. For my 16x10 area with all the options, you can't beat a SS. Just have to find the right one. I wouldn't know where to start on fixing the greenie.

With all this I might need to keep looking. It will be over 1000 after everything.

All of those come with a STANDARD SS plus a Saw blade and arbor. Nothing else is needed for horizontal boring except the drill chuck that he doesn't have.

So none of the 5 functions of the MK V (5 functions) will work with that machine.

However, with the jointer it is not a bad price. All of the accessories are available on eBay.

I would pass and bide my time. Something much better will come along.

Fixing a Greenie is not much more complicated the a 10ER. The drive is the same a s the 10ER speed changer. The speed control dial is the only real difference and it is pretty simple.

My first one was a greenie asking 250, but the motor ran but not the spindles, I knew nothing, but had looked at the maintenance site and knew it was the Gilmer belt was broken, now I am mechanically inclined, got a new belt from SS came with instructions, looked at the videos here and when I had a question, the people here came through here. You can do this, as far as the greenie goes as long as the motor runs, be tuff and use it as a bargaining chip.
