I think we have a teminology problem here or at least I'm confused. From what I remember when Part # 555626 came out they were called offset mounting tubes. Which makes sense since the offset the SPT.
The mounting tubes that come on the bandsaw # 5137779 are correctly called eccentric mounting tubes. They are eccentric because the centers of the two sections of the tube are at slightly different axis enableing you by rotating the tubes to make slight adjustments to the mounting placement of the Bandsaw to align it's drive hub with the SS powerhead drive hub.
The offset tubes #555626 were brought out when the new aluminum table was added to the Bandsaw. Without them I'm told it is impossible to move the SS into vertical mode unless the Bandsaw is removed.
