Yeah-but! If you only wanted the outfeed tables, and only had the standard tables ---this could be done with only one extension table (a 5' tube with an adjustable leg) Then two floating tables on that tube, another shorter tube on the back of the floaters with an adjustable leg between them.

This would only allow for outfeed, and ripping from only one side.

The rip sled came from a guy named Rick Winburn from the UP of Michigan. Some years ago he was laid off and had access to a lot of hardwood so he started making jigs from Woodsmith plans and selling them on eBay. Very well done. The rip sled is very handy for putting a square edge in rough sawn lumber, or taking the bow out of lumber. It also made making stakes easy safe and fast.

Rick eventually got a good job with the power company in his area. His gain is our loss.

You're welcome Chuck. I'm leaving my Shopsmith in this setup for now. I found a deal on a nice second Shopsmith that I'm using for everything else. Came with a dado set (I have one already). I now have the 2 dado setups I use regularly on arbors, ready to mount at any time. Handy!

Before the pic appeared, I imagined from reading the title that the steaks had those little grill lines and a flame was underneath the table tops. LOL I was pleasantly surprised to see what you did with re-arranging the table extension in this workable fashion. Thanks for posting this.
