Made of cast iron but the design looks doable in wood.

thanks to all appreciate the input this is what i came up with ---made out of Birch--finished with wipe on poly--then a coat of wax
the pins set flush and are shelf pins--for adjustment of the angle & for height of the book

That has some interesting ideas incorporated into it. Very flexible for whatever book she mounts. Nicely done.

I must admit, I have not watched the full video online, but have seen a couple of articles about it in some of the wood rags.....way above my skill set with hand tools:o
