The only thing I know about particle board is that none of it is allowed in my shop. I use only solid wood or wood core plywood. Any type of particle board is banned.

Woo Horses , lets all know about the terms we are talking about, I can see PB could be a material for a jig, if left flat, it is smooth and machine able, I would not want to use it, ASP Board, Alternating Strand Board, not smooth enough, just an example.
You guys fight it out. What works for you is OK, it is an unanswerable debate.

Lots of good advice here!
Have any of you guys used plastic to make a more permanent jig? If so, what type of plastic did you use and what tools did you need to work with it.I've seen one guy here on the forum who used plastic cutting boards to make a jig. Thought I might give it a go after more research.
