Just when I think I might want to find me a woman, I read all these posts about wedded bliss and realize I'm pretty happy alone.

The key is not finding "a" woman, it is finding " the" woman. There is a huge difference.

Fiatben there is no doubt marriage is a team sport and a successful one isn't one where the husband is the team captain. We must share that role.

However all kidding aside having gone through a few crisises where I wasn't sure she would ever get out of the hospital I can tell you she is the most important thing in my life. I would not like facing life without her.

Sure she can get on my nerves and I may even think about putting my hands around her neck (just to see if they fit of course) I would hate not hearing sweetheart would you fix this for me, or goodnight my love.

Life without a wife can be a lonely thing.

Besides who is going to change your diapers when you get to that stage?

We have a crisis (that least I do).

My wife came into the shop while I was dry fitting some of the parts for the TV cabinet. "What is that you are working on?", she asks. "I thought you were doing the TV Cabinet".

"I am working on the TV Cabinet", was my reply. "Not the one we discussed", she responds.

You know the rest. The dry fit has been terminated and I am back at the Sketchup phase. Fortunately only the two side panels are lost and I will find something else to do with them. Oh well. A signed work order would have been nice but how do you do that with family; especially SWMBO.

Geez Whiz! Ya gots the same poor memory problem that SWMBO claims I have! Of course you must understand hers is perfect(like an elephants) and never faulty.

Her memory is so good that she quite clearly recollects things that she informed me of that I have absolutely not the slightest glimmer or meager ray of light of recalling. After lengthy discussions on the item, it comes to light that we obviously speak in different tongues. What she understands(quite vehemently) she said, and what I heard(also no doubt in my mind either) are miles apart! No way possible on this earth is it possible to extrapolate from her version to mine!

Sketchup would be a lost cause, because she cannot relate lines on paper to any 'real' thingie!





I think it is obvious you need 100% supervision so as to never again 'deviate' from the cabinet plan 'as discuxzssed'!:D

She won't go there because I can cook. My mother was a restaurant owner and I worked in the kitchen from age 11-12 til I joined the service and left home.

I warned you! You are getting closer and closer to the black hole of "you have no creativity and why aren't you doing it the way "WE" agreed?" Next you will hear, "oh go ahead and do it you never listen to me anyhow." Followed closely the by the stab in the heart that sounds like "I told you so."
