My second attempt at bowl turning. This time instead of a purchased blank, this started out as a dying elm tree in the back yard. The line near the rim that looks like a split is simply the coloration of the wood.
I have to admit a higher sense of satisfaction having gone from tree to finished project.
Wax finish. About 2" deep.
