Just a Hammer

This is a hammer.
But with everything simple is a story. I found some old hand tools of my dads in an old box. The hammer was just an old rusted head with splintered wood out of one end. It had 2 steel wedges in the top and surprisingly difficult to beat out. I had some mystery maple, I think ,and turned away. Squaring off the end was done with the bandsaw and sanded to fit. Original wedges back in place and some poly spray. My youngest son graduates next month and I told him this was his first tool. He knows the history and was pretty jacked about it. It has driven it's first nail with the new chasis.
