I looked on the Shopsmith acadamy webpage for the printable scale for the stop collar but could not find it. Can someone point me in the right direction. Thanks! Warren

p.s. Click on the Play button the lower left corner of the video- it's hard to see. You can watch Nick on the Saw Dust Session where he showed the value of using the tapes on the collar. Top tape is in thousanths; lower tape is in 128ths of an inch.

Can anyone confirm if the micro adjustable stop collar works on Greenies?

I cannot think of any reason it would not. Greenie carriage is the same as a Mark V/500.

I have tried several times to print the scale, but I cannot seem to calibrate either of my printers to print the image so that the scale is the correct length (a little longer than 7 inches). Does anyone have any tips on how to get the correct length?

My printer(hp) 'properties' function includes a manually definable scaling ability. I have gotten very close with that.

After a short time (two tries) I gave up on trying to make a scale that was the right size. So went to this alternative method of scale.

Since one full rotation of the collar changes height 1/16th inch, four locations on the upper (fixed part) of the collar (at 0°, 90°, 180°, 270°)
will allow adjustments to 1/64th of an inch increments. Rotating the collar halfway between quarter marks will take you to the nearest 1/120th of an inch. 120th " is close enough for me for any adjustment of the main table height when wood working. But it is possible to fudge another 1/240th" by halving the distance to the next mark.

Here's how to make the marks:
1) Wrap a blank narrow piece of paper around the collar. Cut the paper strip, making sure there is no overlap nor space between the two ends. Put two or three vertical center punch marks at the 0.
2) fold the paper exactly in half and wrap the paper between the mark at the 0 to halfway around the collar. Now put two center punch holes, on above the other on the collar at that point.
2) Fold the paper in half again and mark the 90° and 270° locations with a single center punch mark.

I found my test printed scale. Printed at 94% scale.
