This is the first time re-sawing using shopsmith 5/8" blade. The blade is not touching the upper bearing, in fact it is 3/16 away but it is touching the lower bearing and the bearing at the adjustment. I don't see an adjustment for the upper level bearing other than the thumb screw that adjusts the cool blocks. The issue that I am having is that blade curves for the first 4 -5" before it straightens out. I am resawing 1 X 6 Cypress. I have my bandsaw on a power station - I do not have a manual! is there a speed chart available somewhere?

The upper guide bearing is supposed to be about 1/64" behind the blade. To adjust this refer to page 14 of the manual located here.

Rob gave you the link to your bandsaws owners manual. It refers to parts that appear on this exploded parts view. You will be guessing at what parts to adjust without this.

When your upper bearing is adjusted to 1/64" away from the blade, you will notice that a slight pressure on the blade will cause contact with that upper bearing.

Hi Ted! Hopefully you have your resawing problem fixed by now. However I want to mention a portion of your thread/post that concerns me and maybe you have messed in the manual.

The blade curving (bowing) before it straightens out signifies to me one of two things are happening.
1) your belt tension is not set high enough for your 5/8" blade. See the part of the manual referring to adjusting the tension guage, and then adjust to a hair over the 1/2" mark.
2) your blade blocks are set too tight against the blade, pinching the blade and not allowing it to pass easily through the blocks.

I made the adjustments that were suggested and the blade is tracking much better! Thanks for your help!
