I learned 2 new things today.

1. I learned that my PowerPro will let me know it is getting too hot and needs a break.

I was running some 1/2-inch poplar through the shaper for my wife (64 boards, 6x12, all 4 sides) when the Shopsmith slowed significantly as I fed the wood. I backed off, and it sped up, then as I fed it more, it slowed again. Knowing something was amiss, I stopped the machine and walked away for a minute. When I came back, I noticed there was an error on the display reading "INVERTER HEAT"

I looked in the owner's manual and searched here to no avail so I called Shopsmith.

2. I learned that SS has REAL people answering the phone that actually know what they are doing! The lady on the other end seemed to understand EXACTLY what I was talking about and knew exactly what the cause was without putting me on hold or transferring me around. Wow!

She told me all about the issue then offered to have someone call me back and go over the SS just to make sure all was working as it should.

He actually called me!

If only every company had this good of customer service!
