SS sighting in publication!

Hi guys! I went to Rockler today during my lunch break which is near my work. I picked up a couple magazines for some ideas about layout and organizing a small shop. In my case, a very small shop.
In the publication Home and Garden's Wood (a special interest publication) Big Ideas for Small Workshops, pg 47, there's a nice picture of a gentleman from New York state in his 12x12' shop next to his nice 510 and a SS belt sander power station. He turned a standalone shed into a nice workshop. Installed a garage door on it for lots of light and easy cleanup in warmer weather.
Just thought you might like to know.
Also, received my info pack from SS today, but I have already seen Sawdust Therapy on the internet. I was thinking I might get more material than that, but I guess I have pretty much seen it all on the SS site and youtube. While I work on converting a screened in porch into a micro shop, I'll wait and see if a Lowe's demo shows up in my area. I really would like to see one in person before purchasing.

You don't say where you live - someone might be close enough to let you see their Power Pro. However, your idea of waiting for a Lowe's demo is a good one. The discounts are significant AND you can get an additional discount with a Lowe's card AND if you are real lucky you can get one of the 18 months - no interest deals AND if you are a vet an extra 10% discount. Oops, I don't think you can get the Lowe's card discount and the vets discount at the same time.
However, you will not be dissatisfied with a Power Pro should you get one. It's a beauty!

I am in the Atlanta area, but I am not a vet. I've heard about the discounts at the demo's. 10% would be significant!

Yea, I saw that, but don't think I can get away for the day. I've still got a lot of work to do anyway, I can wait for a closer one.

Since you've seen the Sawdust Therapy infomercial once you make it to the demo the person doing the demonstration may look very familiar. The one I went to was hosted by Mike Young the guy from the infomercial. Very entertaining, but I don't think I'd have the guts to attempt the stall test he does. Although it shows that the Powerpro doesn't skip a beat.

Back on Memorial Day, there was a Lowe's Demo by me in PA. I had no intention of buying anything, but rather seeing and showing my neighbor the new Mark 7.
I was presented an offer I couldn't refuse as Shopsmith had raised their prices on April 30 on the web site & also the Webinar. But at this demo, the old prices (pre-April 30 prices) were being honored. Holy cow, dude! During the demo, the Lowe's manager interrupted and announced any purchases made on a Lowe's card would be interest-free for 18 months. Twist my arm! I had just picked up a 1999 520 & a new bandsaw and figured it would look nicer as a Mark 7.
The 10% military discount was applied off everything including the shipping and no sales tax was charged. I used my Lowe's card and was given 18 months of no interest. I believe a person possessing a VA ID card is also extended the 10% military discount at Lowes or HD.

I think the savings will be worth the wait, plenty to do in the meantime. If only Amazon sold them with their free shipping.....
