Great Lathe chisels

Hi All,
I just recently got into turning bowels on my new Mark 7. I took a class at a local Woodcrafters store. One great thing was they let us try various brands and types of chisels. I tried a couple of Easy Wood chisels. They are great!!! I bought a set of the pro-style with the longer handles. You will spend more time turning and less time sharpening tools, you won't get frustrated with correct angles and such.

I find that if you keep it level and go slow you will really enjoy using them. I have not tried spindle turning with them yet, but that is next. If you have a diamond stone you can make the cutter heads last even longer.:)

Anyone care to take a "crack" at it! Just can't bring myself to do it. :D

Anyway, glad to hear from you! Put up some pics if possible.... of the bowls.

And you think you are ever so clever and ever so funny - well, if your bowels turned as much and as often as mine do you would want some way to chisel your way out, peel off the crud, eliminate the negative and accentuate the positive...well, you get the picture. Who really gives a ****? Only those whose bowels are turning, over and over again and again.

There is forgiveness, however; three mea culpas, two our Fathers, a hail Mary (wait that was Roger Staubach) and a dollar in the collection - go and sin no more.:D

Now, that's some GOOD sarcasm right there!

OK, let's quit pickin' on this guy. Cain't you tell, his "bowls" are in "nots." :D
(Yes, I'm probably goin' to heck for that.)

Personally, given the subject matter, I thought there would have been more movement from other posters by now.

Glad you all had fun with my mistake. I apologize for my error, sometimes I have trouble with my dyslexia. Glad you all thought it was so funny to make fun of my handicap. Now I know you all are "perfect". Nice to know. May people be kinder to you than you are.

I don't think anyone was making fun of you or at your expense. Boys love poop jokes and the misspelling allowed us to do so. Boys are childish in that regard, but I don't think anyone meant any offense.

Since we are talking "poop" has anyone seen the Pepsi commercial with Beyonce? At the end she sings something that I swear is, "cuz I pooted". :D

Sorry if you took all that silliness personally and seriously.

There folks here that have a sense of humor that is not always appreciated by others with a different bent.

Be assured that nothing I post is in any way meant to demean or ridicule anybody else(I reserve that stuff for myself as a target). I believe all the others that participated in this circus feel the same way(denials not needed here!:D).

I myself am eternally grateful for spell checkers that (too)often flag my inept attempts to hunt & peck. I also go to great lengths to double check before 'submitting'.

Problem is, spell checkers 'approve' correctly spelled words that are not what was intended(like adding an extra vowel).

Now again in a light hearted vein, any body seem today's comics? Think rat, pig, goat, alligator, 'zeba' and crooked nosed humans. Now that is extreme dislexia!!!

Yes I often 'inadvertently' reverse letters in words. ADHD some how seems 'familiar'. So I can understand somewhat. I do not lose sleep or stress over any of that or other personal human(including Frued) traits that I demonstrate(often).:)

FWIW double check caught 6 goofs!;)

P.S. after submitting, I caught one more!
