I've been working on a couple of projects that use conduit. The conduit is drilled and connected with bolts so a major portion of the time is in the drilling process.
Of course a lot of sharp bits of metal are also being made. I'd like to control these bits but they have a mind of their own. The best I could do was to vacuum them up promptly but the hose from the vacuum seemed to want to fall every chance it had.
I have a bad back and something that will irritate it is a lot of bending, like having to pick the hose up a lot. I knew I need to solve the problem promptly but I did not want to spend much time on the solution.
Then it came to me.
The solution is for 505/510/520 type machines and makes use of parts you already have.

I keep the vacuum running and pull the hose off to clean up the mess. It worked really well.
So file this away in case you need it sometime.

I also hang my hearing protectors, dust masks, clamps, etc. the same way

I like the usage...I guess my only concern would be corrosion in those. Seems like a good choice would be to get some EMT tube for is purpose...cheap, about the right size, and no need to worry about somehow damaging your expensive extension tubes.reible wrote:I've been working on a couple of projects that use conduit.
