building a wood work station

Changing some of my home garage from strictly body shop hobby to a wood shop area. I can trash a garage as fast as anyone.
yesterday I started building a work bench, I dont plan on doing much more then whats done now,for now. I hope to build drawers and doors later , "after I get some experience"
after retirement a few months ago, I got into a little wood projects for fun. the last 6 days things seemed to explode, a man was selling all his body shop tools, wanted me to com look. Well , I bought a SS, a router sign making set up (sears) and a routor table for pic. frames. Paper work galore!
so here I am wanting to do good with a new hobby.
The main reason for all this is that my Grand daughter is gettin married, a Barn,western wedding. she has me making rugged wood things, like a horse drawn waggon, and now, signs.
