I've seen this in another thread but never a kit for sale. Anyone we know? It looks solid.

That's interesting. I'd wondered about adapting a Biesemeyer type of fence to the 510. I had a chance to pick up one cheap. This looks like it might work on the same principle with locking on one rail only. I've never seen the Ryobi saw in person but I've read a lot that seems to indicate people loved them.

Once you order yours you need to put a review up on here :)

The setup for sale on Ebay looks pretty trick, but I don't know about replacing Shopsmith parts with "foreign" parts. I do like the idea of augmenting the 510 or 520 system with the BT3000/3100 SMT as described in the thread that PRM linked to above. Some innovative engineering! Nicely done!

“foreign parts”? If you are referring to parts made outside of the USA, have no fear… all parts in the kit were MIUSA. FYI the BT3000 was manufactured in USA for several years before production was moved to Taiwan.

I mean non-Shopsmith parts. Perhaps I should have said that in the first place. :D

Worknhard, I'm guessing from the Colorado locations that you're the inventor on this? Looks really cool. If so how long are the rails? Any chance of seeing a video of the fence and sliding table in action?

I believe if you investigate you will find this is a one up type of deal.
Since it is made from used BT3000 parts I can't imagine too many have been made.
