I was surprised to find a Shopsmith Mark V featured as the main tool in a Hamilton, MT shop. This is the featured shop in series "My Shop", in "American Woodworker" Magazine. (Issue 170 Feb/Mar 2014)

The series "My Shop" is a contest that subscribers enter. Winners are chosen by the editorial folks.

This shop is owned/built by Nancy Ballance in Hamilton. She shows beautiful photos of her very well organized and clean 1000 sq. ft. shop. Also shown are a model Mark 5 (won ribbons at the County Fair) and a beautiful side table.

She was quoted in saying "My trusty Shopsmith - which I have upgraded by adding larger tables - is still one of my favorite tools".

"I use the Shopsmith's tablesaw, jointer, lathe, drum and disk sander functions most often".

She told of retrofitting her old tables (probably 500) into a "unique worktable that tilts, slides and rises up and down".

Good photos of her shop and her Mark V, which I thought was an original 510 until I read the two page feature.
