Knick Knack shelf

The project dejour. My wife asked for a small shelf to display knick-knacks on.
Here is what I came up with

Looks good!
I think a squirrel silhouette setting somewhere near would be a nice touch.

I used a butt joint, nothing fancy.

Looks really good. Just an aside: Isn't it amazing how our wives collect "nick nack", while we men collect squirrels!

That would be the shelf.
Not sure I want to become acquainted with the butt joint of a squirrel.
