Attached are a couple of photos from my latest project. The wood is Red alder that I had left over from the trim I installed on my workbench.

As you can see, the shop First Aid kit now has a shelf to call home.

Also, I now have a matching towel rack. The towel bar, itself, is 3/4" galvanized pipe that I cleaned with steel wool and sprayed with lacquer.

A very fun, 1 day project.

Very nice!
I did something similar myself when Lowes sold me a towel bar 2 inches shorter than it was labeled to be.... Returned that one and did my own design!
