I noticed that my miter gauge has a bent or broken part. The pin that you push to set at 90° and 45° stops is bent or broken and cannot be pushed in or out without tremendous force. I know this should be easier. Is there a replacement part for this or does someone have an extra part I can buy from them that works?

You'll have to remove it to replace it. I'd try straightening it once I got it out.
Re: Miter Gauge Parts
Looks like it not available separately, part 276A, but is available in the block, part 276.

There are two versions. The older version is bigger.
IIRC it is the same as the table tilt stop pin.

Re: Miter Gauge Parts
Absolutely try to straighten it out. The one that came with the 500 was bent as well. It works perfect now. I had to do a lot of "repair" on the miter to get it to work, but it is fine now ... FWIW
