There is nothing I like more then to have a box to open, especially when I know there will be a shiny new tool inside. I mean this just doesn't get old.

Perhaps it has been a while since you had the opportunity to do so or perhaps you have just opened one as well but still might not mind viewing another opening the box thread.
Looking forward to getting this mounted and doing some cutting with it. I do hope to do a review of it at that time. Can it live up to the hipe?

I've got one of those and I suspect you are going to be singing its praises!

Please give us a report. I have the SS branded 6" dado set. It works very well with accurate width and a square bottom. However, the bottom is not very smooth. This is not normally a problem but we are always striving for something better.
I have intended to buy a Forrest Dado King to use on my Powermatic 2000 table saw. I just haven't got around to it. I have had a Forrest WWII for years and used it on the SS and the Powermatic. I will never buy a non Forrest blade for precision cuts. They are wonderful.

The Infinity is a bit cheaper and I wonder if the 6 tooth chippers make that much difference or if it is just an advertising gimmick. Forrest and most (all) other high end manufactures only use 4 tooth chippers. Using 6 tooth chippers means you have to cut costs somewhere else to make the price point.

In case you have not figured it out this is the 6" Dadonator Jr.™ dado set. I already have an eight inch set (2 tooth chippers) and a wobble dado. They work fine for all of the projects I've done so far and would more then likely work for anything and everything else I will ever build.

But, I've never owned a 6" set and would like to experience how this might work. I've always advocated the 8" size as it has the potential to make deeper cuts and can be used with a sled and still get pretty deep cuts. Am I changing my mind on this? No not really. I wanted to see just how well this sort of blade would cut and since I had the money to do so and then of course they are on sale.........

These blades are not cheap. The 8" version sells for $219.90, the 6" goes for $209.90. The sale price gets it down to $169.90. The earth day sale took another $15 off which got it in my price range. With shipping it was $164.80.

I have been very happy with all the infinity blades I have. In fact I have no desire to even try other blades blade. I have also been very happy with the router bits I have gotten from them. Yes this stuff is expensive but I like it and will continue buying from them as long as I can.

I'm expecting that this blade will excel in use. No more bat ears, no more fluffy cuts etc. If I would have expected less I would not have ordered this blade set, I would have no reason to.....

I do have an upcoming project that I will be doing that will let me see if I think it. Like I said I have high expectations.

Ah, mine is the 8 inch Dadonator. I expect the 6 inch is excellent too.

That is a though. I did like the lid with some stock dado widths cut in it for making it easier to check material fits. With the 6 tooth chippers a vertical stack might be the way to go for all the blades. I have not thought that far ahead yet.
