Test run for a wall mounted coat rack and shelf. This was an easy build. No it is not done. Waiting for the glue to dry. Tomorrow I will finish it and attach the hooks. I think I will build more of these using some of my wormy chestnut.

16 inches long, 6 inches tall.

Built from a Pine Pallet wood. A single board that was 52 inches long. It had this giant knot in it, so this was what defined its overall length. Mostly no proportions with me. I just grab a board and start building something with it!

Earlier in the day, I made new queen sized bed slats. Not excitin enough to post in here, so I wont post a pic of them. But these same slats, also came from a pallet... I dismantled the pallet, denailed the wood, then made dern certain, that it was metal free. Then planned the cupping out of it, ripped to its final width 2.5 inches and then glue lammed the 2 halves together. An instant, 1.5 inch thick, 2.5 inch wide, 60.75 inches long, bed slat!

Oh how I just love, all of my tools!

Ever heard of 'shaker pegs"?

That rack cries out for them rather than metal hooks.

Hmm, now that is a great idea. Wished I thought of it. Must go with Shaker Pegs on next build. Tough to do it with this one, since it is already glued up. Yes, resale.

One could drill the holes from the back.

Could you use a Forstner bit with an extension to reach past the shelf?

Not yet. Like many of my other projects, they lie in wait for me to finish them!

I keep getting more and more ideas and begin them... lol!

I was a busy bee in my shop today. I did get many of my pending items, finished. But not this one.

I did however, drill the holes for the pegs.
