Seed cart

Post by boco »

We have several bird feeders around the yard, and filling them is one of my son’s chores. Different feeders take different types of seed, and I was concerned to see him regularly lugging around two or three plastic boxes under one arm plus a step ladder (for the higher feeders) AND his iPad (which never leaves his side) with the other. I suppose this was his way of being “efficient”, but I saw disaster looming. More for my peace of mind than his convenience, I built this cart. It is patterned on a piece of rolling luggage but constructed of plywood, with some pieces of leftover 2x2 for the handle. Not stylish, but practical. It has three compartments for seed containers (with latches to keep the squirrels at bay) and a place on the back for his iPad, too.
