Cover plate for an access hole on the headstock? Curious what the material is that was used for the logo.

Material question - Photo paper. That is a photo.

MVII headstock is close(after all the logo is specific to a Mark VII).

The photo is of the headstock access hole cover.

One who has been paying attention to certain recent posts by me will know!!!

I have not taken a pix of the 'reveal' yet.

I have been off the forum again for a while, and this is one of the things I enjoy most about this place. No big deal, just fun. Thanks JPG.

It definately will go on the Mark VII. Headstock? No.

A 'unique' feature of the Mark VII was the motor driven vac. A forerunner of the DC 3300. The bag however was paper and installed in the box like base. The vac hose was connected through a hole in the rear cover.

It is merely a hole plug.

I am not satisfied with the photo print. Color is not right. That blueness should be light gray.

I almost destroyed it by deciding to deepen the inside tapered ring. The painted part ended rolling across the floor(I cut all the way through). It is glued back on. Hopefully it will hold. The logo print and plastic cover is held on by the inside of the ring being tapered(larger than the outer diameter).
