Caster Lift Lever Stuck

One of the lift levers on my SS is stuck so that the wheels are extended up constantly. Any advice on loosening them up?

Did you try some penetrating oil?

Where are you applying it? Cam shaft(ends)? Pistons(cam followers)? Foot pedal(leverSaturnMarkV wrote:Yes, maybe I need to try more.

Hi
The first thing I'd do is raise the leg where the stuck caster is located and put a block under it. This will take all the pressure off the caster and allow you to work on it without the weight of the SS jamming the mechanism. This should allow you to see where the jam is occurring and un-jam it.

I got it fixed! One more piece of the puzzle!
Perhaps now I can start saving for a new Speed Control assembly!

Needed lots of penetrating fluid, and lots of manipulation from my foot. Repetition and a bit of pounding from a mallet.
