Anyone know what saw this is for?

Found this dado throat plate in the box o’ stuff that came with my shopsmith. Obviously not for the SS. Kinda looks like a Delta but as you can see it’s really beefy engineered lumber material and has a number of adjustment screws all around. Feels very heavy and well made.

Would love to give it a new home to someone who could find it useful. Image

Definitely not Shopsmith, but you knew that.

As for the adjustment screws, I retrofitted my Shopsmith throat plate to include adjustable Allen screws. Helps with leveling.

Yes it is definitely a dado insert, as stated in my first sentence [emoji6]. Trying to figure out what Brand/Model this is from as the person I bought my SS from was a divorced wife that just chucked a bunch of her husbands woodworking stuff he left in a box.

Sweet idea! I’ve always wanted to get a tap and die set...maybe I’ll finally splurge on when soon. What set do you recommend?

It looks like after market Powermatic to me. I will have to measure my inserts to be sure.

I got a cheap set from Harbor Freight. Fine for occasional use, which is all mine get.

Just do not expect the resultant tapped holes or rods to fit standard screws and nuts.

I have only used a few of the taps and dies but those I've used have worked with standard screws and nuts.
