Here is another idea for a project

I was looking through some boxes in search of something else and came across this old GI Joe bed that I made for my son when he was maybe 4 or so. It later became car ramp for matchbox cars and lots of other things as it passed on through the kids. Some where along the way it got stepped on or used for something way beyond it capacity.
It was put away to be fixed but soon forgotten and not a priority to be fixed any longer. No idea what happen to the foam mattress that we make for the bed or the blanket scrap but the bed was fixable so I got busy and did the minimum disruption to the scars and dents of years of play... Repaired the damaged end piece and glued the broken wood. It did need to be sanded a few places and then give it a quick touch up of stain and wax. Had to drill out the plugs and then replace them with some store bought buttons but it came out close to what it started out as.
My son now has two daughters and third (?) on the way so I figured this is a good time to pass it back to him so it can get some more use.
This was a super simple project and one that will not take long to make. So ask yourself, do I have anyone that would like one of these???
It was also scrap wood, if that makes it anymore interesting to some of you.
Oh yea the picture:
