Just got my first SS. I need some basic guidance in how to attach the sandpaper to the sander disk. Any help for a lost neophyte?

The paper disks use pressure sensitve adhesive (PSA). Just peel the back off, center the paper on the disk, and press on.

For paper where the adhesive has gotten a little old, the "stickieness" can be re-newed with 3M77 spray adhesive. Do not use 3M90, it is permanent.

I'm not really answering your question, but I just started using a SS about a year ago. I had problems with the discs peeling off, I recommend storing it face down once you get it on that is.

Have a problem like this???? Let a heat lamp, or sunshine warm up the disk so it is warm to hold - then the SS pressure sensitive paper should come off pretty easy. Remember to clean up the disk with Mineral Spirits of another solvent before putting on another sanding disk.
