I can't tell the difference between the dado and the standard arbor, I need the standard table saw arbor part 555321 for my 500. I found this one and was wondering if anyone can tell from sight if this is in fact a 555321.

Thnk you,

This is not the Saw Arbor. It it the Molder/Dado Arbor (505506).

Based on the picture, I would guess it is a 5/8" universal arbor that is no longer sold. They are about 1/4" shorter on threads than the current molder/dado arbor.

It should work on a 500, but blade/slot alignment is an operator function. Actually it is better than a molder/dado arbor for a saw blade since it is shorter(will not interfere with the table tie bar).

Beeg is that some newer version of my arbor, because it doesn't look like anything I have at the time?

It looks alot shorter and just plain weird compared to what was given me.

Thanx for the help anyhow,

Yes that is a new version of a 5/8" arbor for a 500.

There have been several versions of a 5/8" arbor over the years.

The e-bay item in your initial post will work, but it is nothing like the newer/current one. The current one will only work with a saw blade. The e-bay item can be used as an arbor for additional things.

It is best that any 'universal' arbor has a keyed washer.
