What kind of wood? Looks great.

Those were made from pre-drilled rosewood blanks which are included in the Penn State starter kit. I've got to get better at sharpening and using my skew before I try anything much more challenging. Thankfully (??) the chisels included with the starter kit are rather low quality so I don't mind the learning curve on sharpening quite so much. If they had been quality chisels I'd be miserable about how much metal I'd ground away while learning to properly sharpen the skew.
One problem I discovered was that my Wolverine sharpener guides were not perfectly aligned. This was not a problem when sharpening chisels with the v-arm, but when I added the offset skew attachment, I had different grinds on the two sides because the distances were not equal.
