I received my strip sander the other day and found out that some of the belts are knot marked for direction. Does anyone know as to how to determine the travel direction? Also what is the proper storage of those belts?

Hi;
As a general rule, if the belt does not have an arrow to indicate the direction it can be safely assumed to be bi-directional.

I'll be darned, Bob! I believe all my strip sander belts have arrows, even the ones I received today! That said, I really wonder if it makes any difference.

Mine look like they were cut from wider belts. Only parts of the printing on each belt. Whereas the ceramic belts printing was printed lengthwise.

My experience has been, with no arrows, they are omni directional.
