Shopsmith Speed Increaser question

Is it possible to use 1/2" shank bits with the speed increaser? I see an adapter for 1/4" bits. But, it says for use with 1/4" and 1/2" bits
. I was just curious if I'm reading that correctly and if anyone else is using 1/2" shank bits.

I do knot have a speed increaser, but I am pretty sure that the 1/4" adapter fits into the 1/2" hole, so either size shank will work. Please call customer service to verify that: 800 762 7555.

Shopsmith has both 1/4" and 1/2" chucks. Not being familiar with the speed increaser, I'm not sure it has a 5/8" spindle, but it seems it should have. But you can ask Shopsmith!

I own a speed increaser.
the hole is made to fit a 1/2 router bit, thay sell a 1/4" adaptors so you can run 1/4" router bits as well.
